Creation of Dedagroup Public Services

A result of the merger between the local government division of Dedagroup and Sinergis, the new company aims to support local authorities on their path towards Data Driven Administration

Trento, 12 January 2017: Dedagroup today officially announced the creation of Dedagroup Public Services, a company aiming to support public administrations, including local authorities and regional multi-utilities, in the process of digital transformation. This is the first step of a journey that - in the context of the new Dedagroup One Group One Brand strategy - will lead to the creation of a single body wholly devoted to the public sector.

Officially operating since 1 January, the new company has arisen out of the merger of the local government division of Dedagroup and Sinergis. This mix of expertise, knowledge and technologies at the service of innovation in local government is unique in Italy. It gathers in a single entity Dedagroup PA's software products, solutions and services for local authorities and Sinergis's expertise in regional and geographical information systems and network management.

"The new company that we are announcing today fits perfectly into Dedagroup's mission to support Public Administration: making the change towards Data Driven Administration, by creating ways to share data and systems digitally. All this intends to make public services the enabler of growth for the national economy," said Fabio Meloni, CEO Dedagroup Public Services.

He continued: "Dedagroup Public Services aims to encourage dialogue between centre and periphery, imparting central guidelines on the specific needs of regional areas in order to carry out the directives of the European Digital Agenda at a local level, enabling the local deployment of informed, fair policies that can improve services to citizens and businesses."

Dedagroup Public Services will operate in close synergy with DDway's Government, Transportation, Utilities & Energy market lines, in view of their entry into the new company by 2017. Its creation is part of a broader process of Dedagroup’s restructuring, which involves eight different companies from The Federation of Skills merging into five business units under a single brand, Dedagroup. This One Brand strategy positions Dedagroup as a Digital Hub for digital transformation.
