Group’s ongoing commitment to sustainable development: Dedagroup obtains SA8000 certification for corporate social accountability

 

The certification confirms the implementation of an effective Social Accountability Management System consistent with the Group's people-centered development strategy focusing on social impacts.

 

Trento, October 26th, 2022 - Dedagroup has renewed its pledge to people and the awareness of its role in improving the society it operates in. In keeping with its sustainable development goals, particularly concerning social issues, the Group has obtained the ethical certification SA8000. This Standard is the world's leading social certification program. It certifies the implementation of an effective Social Accountability Management System within the framework of workers' rights and wellbeing, consistently with the best international guidelines and the Social Accountability International (SAI) standard SA8000:2014. 

Dedagroup's social commitment throughout its development is based on the conviction that competitiveness must be accompanied by ethical sensibility and sustainable growth. These principles are deeply rooted in the Group's culture. By implementing a Social Accountability Management System, Dedagroup is reinforcing its focus on these issues: it is pledging adherence to the highest social standards of ethical and professional conduct towards its employees, collaborators, and all other stakeholders — customers, suppliers, partners, institutions, and local communities. In this sense, obtaining SA8000 certification is a further step in the journey the Group has embarked on, and an additional stimulus to identifying potential improvement measures in pursuit of sustainability and social responsibility goals. 

In addition to the Parent Company, the certification covers the subsidiaries Deda Cloud, Dedagroup Stealth, Dedagroup Business Solutions, Deda Next, and Deda Value. It recognizes Dedagroup for having implemented effective, structured corporate strategies, initiatives, and procedures to improve work environments and conditions for all employees continuously. In this effort, Dedagroup has drawn inspiration from the highest social sustainability standards in areas such as occupational health and safety, diversity and inclusion, freedom of association, the right to collective bargaining, working hours, and remuneration. 

The certification has been obtained at the end of oversight based on an independent third party's analysis of company processes and interviews with personnel. This achievement is also the result of the Group's effective implementation of the integrated Compliance Management System, which offers clear, uniform guidelines for coordinating company procedures and resources. This system has enabled Dedagroup to adopt a common approach to applying the highest standards to support corporate organizational wellbeing.
